Today I sat down with Joy McCarthy. Joy is a bestselling author, holistic nutritionist, and the chief blogger at Joyous Health. We discussed the microbiome, detox, eczema, and the must-have habits that Joy will absolutely not negotiate on. [4:17] After Joy was prescribed a particular birth control pill, something shifted, and she decided to take another path.

[8:24] Detox must be a way of life.

[13:52] Fasting can be a great detox tool, but Joy recommends that you work with an expert when determining if a fast is right for you.

[23:48] Sugar is incredibly addictive.
