The Four Types of Content That Actually Generate Demand

The Four Types of Content That Actually Generate Demand

Here’s the truth: if your clinic isn’t generating demand, everything else in your marketing stack falls flat.

You can have the best nurture sequence, the most beautiful newsletter, and the smartest automation in the world—but if no one new is finding you, there’s no one to nurture.

Generating demand is the very first step of growth. Without it, your systems don’t matter. And yet, this is where most practitioners get stuck: they post inconsistently, or they post without a strategy, and then wonder why no one’s booking.

That’s why I want to share the four types of content you must create if you want to attract new patients, clients, or opportunities into your business. This isn’t about posting more for the sake of posting—it’s about posting the right things so people move from strangers to patients.

1. Do I Like You?

People buy from people they like. It’s that simple.

But here’s the catch—they can’t decide if they like you if they don’t know you. This is where your backstory comes in. Think of yourself like a superhero. Every superhero has an origin story, a sidekick, a lair, maybe even a villain.

When you share your “superhero story”—how you became who you are today—you give people something to connect to. Maybe it’s why you started your practice, what you stand for, or even a behind-the-scenes look at your daily life. Stories and even casual “day in the life” posts go a long way.

And remember, not everyone is going to like you—and that’s okay. You’re not here to be liked by everyone. You’re here to be trusted by the right people.

2. Can You Help Me?

Once people like you, the next question they’re asking is: Can you actually help me?

This is where your Signature Care System comes in. You need to show the how, why, and what of your process. This is not just about credentials or years in practice—it’s about helping people understand that you have a strategy for getting them from point A to point B.

This is where your teaching content lives. Repurpose your long-form blogs, coaching notes, YouTube videos, or even transcripts from webinars into short posts and stories. When you consistently demonstrate how your methodology works, people stop guessing. They start seeing you as the guide they’ve been looking for.

Pro tip: Don’t overcomplicate it. A short, clear post that explains a simple concept from your Signature Care System often lands better than a jargon-filled wall of text.

3. Will It Work for Me?

Even if people know they like you and they see that you can help, they’re still asking: Will this work for me?

This is where social proof comes in. People need to see themselves reflected in the clients you serve. They’re not just curious if your approach works in theory—they want to know if it will work in their unique situation.

Now, I know many of you can’t post testimonials or direct screenshots. That’s okay. Instead, lean into storytelling. Share the types of patients or clients you’ve helped, the problems they came in with, and the transformations they experienced. Even anonymized, these stories are powerful.

Think of it like showing your audience a mirror. The moment they see someone like them succeeding under your care, the “what if” becomes a very real “why not me?”

4. What Next?

By this point, your audience is primed. They like you. They believe you can help. They trust your system will work for people like them.

Now they just need clarity on the next step.

This is where so many practitioners drop the ball—they build connection, but they never make the invitation. Your audience needs you to say, Here’s what to do next.

Whether that’s downloading a free resource, joining a workshop, or booking a discovery call, make the action obvious and easy. Don’t assume they’ll figure it out. People want to be guided.

Think of your content like a bridge: every post should move people closer from curiosity to commitment.

Generating demand isn’t about being everywhere all the time—it’s about being intentional.

When you consistently create content that answers these four questions—Do I like you? Can you help me? Will it work for me? What next?—you’ll stop guessing what to post and start seeing real traction in your business.
